Kathleen Strelow
Certain she was born in the wrong era, Kathleen is passionate about preserving our country’s history and is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She can usually be found visiting historic sites and museums or trying her hand at living historically (i.e. making her own butter or soap). She is currently the Chicago Historic Living Examiner and Chicago Animal Rescue Examiner at Examiner.com.
Kathleen is also passionate about animals, especially dogs. She is a volunteer for a local animal shelter where she also serves on the Special Needs Dog Committee and works with the Kids Care Program.
After unknowingly eating contaminated peanut butter crackers in January 2009 (before the recall), Kathleen got a wakeup call regarding her health, her diet and the way she lived her life. She is now a firm believer in eating naturally, buying locally, and is loving the idea of the slow food movement.
Kathleen’s publishing credits:
Doll World Magazine
“Josie,” a short story in the Secrets, Fact or Fiction anthology
“Perfect Strangers,” a short story in the Secrets, Fact or Fiction II anthology
